Adult Learn to Curl
The Whitehorse Curling Club is excited to announce our 5 week "Learn to Curl" program, starting on February 15th and running until March 15th. This program is designed for individuals who are new to the sport of curling and want to learn the fundamentals.
Each week, participants will receive a 1.5 hour (7:00 PM - 8:30 PM) curling lesson from experienced instructors. These lessons will cover the basics of curling, including proper delivery technique, sweeping, and strategy. In addition to the on-ice instruction, participants will also receive a brief overview of the rules and etiquette of the sport.
After the instructional portion of the program, participants will have the opportunity to practice their new skills and play in a friendly game with other program participants. This will give them a chance to put their new-found knowledge into action and have some fun on the ice.
The program will culminate in a final game on the last night, where participants can show off their skills to friends and family.
All equipment is provided, so all participants need to bring is warm, comfortable clothing and a pair of clean shoes to wear on the ice. No previous curling experience is required to participate.
